Established in the early nineties as Plastic Building Materials Limited with an initial target of just one conservatory roof a day. With the emphasis on quality of manufacture, attention to detail and reliable delivery, a substantial investment program started with relocation to a 17000 square-foot factory… St Gerard House in north Swansea. 1996 roof manufacturing activity took over the whole building and renamed it PBM House. With sales revenue now exceeding £5,000,000 even the 17,000sq ft was not adequate so a further 5,000sq ft was built. The new building housed a further investment, a Blackman and White flat bed cutting table for polycarbonate sheets. This now services the company’s nationwide Roof Pack distribution business which has independently prospered alongside the conservatory roof fabrication.

A second cutting centre being established in Irvine (Ayrshire). The next investment was probably the company’s most significant, it was certainly a vote of confidence…The acquisition of the Stuga Roofline, CNC automated, cutting and preparation centre put the operation at the forefront of the industry. The directors then established the activity as an autonomous limited company known as PBM Roof Systems Limited. In 2006 the Company separated from the PBM plastics distribution business and established itself as an independent operation retaining both the Swansea and the Irvine operations with nationwide distribution. To complete the transformation PBM Roof Systems Limited has been renamed TNCC.UK Limited trading as The National Conservatory Company (known as TNCC.) and the factory has reverted to its old name of St Gerard’s House.
